The shower will be held at historic East Lake Golf Club from 11 a.m. ? 1 p.m.
At the baby shower, Operation Shower will deliver its signature ?showers-in-a box?, which will be packed with essential baby supplies, clothing, toys, books, blankets and much more courtesy of donations by sponsors Carousel Designs, Layla Grayce, Radio Flyer and many other generous donors. The baby shower will be hosted for a group of pregnant women from Ft. Benning near Columbus, Ga. and Ft. Gordon near Augusta, Ga. whose husbands are deployed. Beyond these tangible items, the most meaningful gift may be the unique opportunity for the moms to find comfort and support from other women in the same situation as they celebrate this milestone.

The baby shower will be held on the TOUR Championship?s Community Day and is expected to be attended by 40 military moms-to-be. The shower will be held at the Birdies for the Brave Patriots? Outpost presented by Kipper Tool on the 16th green.

In the past few months, Operation Shower has received national recognition following the attendance of First Lady Michelle Obama, Dr. Jill Biden and Martha Stewart at the organization?s April baby shower at Camp Lejeune, N.C. The First Lady and Dr. Biden attended as part of their newly launched initiative, Joining Forces, to support and honor military families. ?The Operation Shower team is grateful to so many people and companies across the country who are answering Mrs. Obama and Dr. Biden?s call to support military families,? adds Morrissey.
Following their attendance, Operation Shower was featured on Martha Stewart?s primetime television special ?America?s Moms? with Mrs. Obama and Dr. Biden. The organization was also listed in a Parade Magazine article as one of three of Mrs. Obama and Dr. Biden?s ?favorite groups that are helping America?s military families.
