Andrea Bowen ? Realtor/Atttorney | Austin MLS Listings

About Me:

Whether buying or selling real estate, it?s important to have someone you can rely on, by your side, guiding you through the process. As both a realtor and an attorney, I know what it means to represent a client. Before transitioning into real estate, I ran a general law practice with my husband, who is also an attorney. A good attorney must be adept at multi-tasking, accommodating deadlines, and, most importantly, protecting their client?s interests ? great preparation for a career in real estate!

Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, I enjoyed growing up surrounded by all that a big city has to offer. I?ve also enjoyed a life-long interest in real estate, one that manifests itself in long walks through my neighborhood (Austin?s East Side, in case you were wondering), avoiding freeways and avidly watching various HGTV, National Geographic, and Travel channel shows. On the other hand, my husband grew up in smaller communities and is an avid outdoorsman. When looking for a place to live, Austin was a natural fit for both of us. Where else can you find big city conveniences and diverse opportunities along with some of the most beautiful scenery in the state?

When I?m not working, I enjoy baking cakes and cookies, especially chocolate chip cookies (www.realestateandaglassofmilk.com), traveling, walking our Brittany Spaniel and biking around Austin looking at real estate.

My Dream House:

The house would somehow be a perfect blend of my favorite styles ? modern and Spanish Colonial; skinny mirrors in all my bathrooms and closets; some amazing tile work in different styles and shapes; TONS of windows; a porch full of hammocks and rocking chairs; palm trees; a butterfly house and garden; a rose garden; a roof top deck with a killer view; half lap/ half wave pool, so I can get my exercise and hear the sound of breaking waves 24/7; a zip line from the roof top deck to my pool; Mark Walberg?s home gym; a skating rink that doubles as an indoor track; a double oven in a chef?s kitchen; instead of a wet bar, an ice cream sundae bar; a Diet Dr. Pepper/Diet Coke slurpee machine (compensates for ice cream bar); a library full of mystery books, with a closet of James Bond spy gear, whose only entrance would be a Scooby Doo villain-style revolving book case, and the only exit would be through the fake fireplace and slide, a la Scooby Doo as well; bark-activated doggie doors; and two Brittany Spaniel puppies, along with my dog Sunny LaRue.
