Diving Into the Waves: Leave Your Brown Bag at Home

Another PWS parent just posted the link to this article and my blood is boiling.

It's crazy that a school could BAN people from sending in their own lunches. People have VERY different philosophies about how to feed their kids and I really don't want a school telling me what my kids are going to eat. Especially if those lunches are not the quality that I would send in. I know that it says that there are exceptions made for kids with allergies (like my Cole), and I would *assume* for kids like Dean who have a specific diet for medical reasons, but still.

I'm not saying that all school lunches are evil or that it's bad to have them sometimes. We ate school lunches sometimes as kids, but mostly we brought food from home (thanks, Mom!!). So leave your brown bag at home, everyone, or your kid is going hungry for the day. :/
