MTV Movie Awards, 'Teen Wolf' Do Solid Ratings Business

MTV had a big night Sunday, with the season finale of Randy Jackson's America's Best Dance Crew, the MTV Movie Awards and the launch of its Teen Wolf reboot. So how did they do?

The MTV Movie Awards, hosted by Saturday Night Live regular Jason Sudeikis, averaged 4.5 million viewers and a 3.9 rating in the persons 12-34 demographic. Additionally, the MTV Movie Awards delivered its biggest audience in the teen demographic (5.4) since 2004. In the female teen demo, the awards ceremony -- largely dominated by Twilight -- drew an 8.3 rating.

The first of the two-part Teen Wolf season premiere at 11 p.m. lost nearly half of its lead-in with 2.2 million viewers and a 2.1 rating in the 12-34 category. In the teen demo, Teen Wolf retained 68 percent of of its lead-in, snagging a 3.7 rating. MTV will rerun the pilot at 9 p.m. on Monday prior to the second part of the series debut at 10 p.m., its regular time slot.

A 90-minute Season 6 finale of America's Best Dance Crew, which named laMmE the newest champions, drew 2.6 million viewers, up double digits from last season's closer. Season-to-date, ABDC has averaged a 1.8 rating in the 12-34 demo.
