The Austin Community College Automotive Department is in need of minor repair projects for the automotive technology program. Our students are either studying to earn a Certificate or an Associates of Applied Science degree in automotive repair. The program prepares students for ASE certification.
There is a $45.00 charge for every vehicle brought into the ACC Automotive Department for every different class that must check out your vehicle. Most of our classes meet only once per week. If you need work from 3 separate classes (A/C, Electrical, and Engine Performance) you will be charged $135.00. If you only need work from one class then you will be charged $45.00. If we order parts to fix your vehicle, they will be marked up 25% plus tax. There are no labor fees for any work performed by the Automotive Department. Vehicles must have current registration and insurance.
We are accepting vehicles from the years 1999 ? 2012. Vehicles are selected based on having the right need of service to line up with the class? learning objectives, therefore not all vehicles will be accepted at all times.
Due to time constraints, we are not accepting vehicles that are in need of transmission and / or engine rebuilds at this time.
